Which Rajasthan itinerary should you pick?

Essentials · 5 nights

₹29,700 per person

Jaipur (2N) → Pushkar & Ajmer (1N) → Udaipur (2N)

Pink city, holy lake and the lake palaces.

Classic · 7 nights

₹47,000 per person

Jaipur (2N) → Jodhpur (2N) → Udaipur (3N)

Jaipur, the blue city and Udaipur.

Grand · 10 nights

₹76,900 per person

Jaipur (2N) → Pushkar & Ajmer (1N) → Jodhpur (2N) → Jaisalmer (2N) → Udaipur (3N)

The full desert circuit including Jaisalmer.

The honest answer for most people is the middle one. The entry itinerary at ₹29,700 covers Rajasthan properly but leaves little room in the day, and the Grand adds 5 more nights for ₹47,200 more — which is the difference between seeing Udaipur (3N) and driving past it. If you are flying in from far and this is your only trip this year, take the longer one.

How we build a Rajasthan trip

The Classic runs Jaipur (2N) → Jodhpur (2N) → Udaipur (3N) in that order because that is the order the road takes. Reversing it looks the same on a brochure and costs you the better part of a day.

  • Nights allocated by what a place is worth. Jaipur (2N) gets two, not because it balances the table but because that is what it takes.
  • One planner start to finish, on WhatsApp, before and during the trip. Not a ticket number.
  • Honest exclusions. What isn't included is printed as clearly as what is, on this page, before you enquire.
  • Nothing to pay for a quote. The full day-by-day and live prices for your dates, in writing, then you decide.

Rajasthan honeymoon packages

A honeymoon in Rajasthan is not the tour with better pillows. What changes is the pace, the order, and who else is in the car.

  • The route runs the other way round. Most Rajasthan itineraries open in Jaipur (2N). For two people we would rather end there and start somewhere quieter, so the first morning is not spent in traffic.
  • Longer in one place. Udaipur (3N) is where couples want the extra night, and it is the one we add first when there is room in the budget.
  • Private transfers throughout. No shared coach, no waiting for eleven other people at every stop.
  • Arranged in writing. The cake, the flowers, the table away from the buffet — confirmed with the property before you arrive at no markup, rather than asked for at check-in.

The Rajasthan — Grand is the one we most often build for couples: 10 nights across 5 stops. Two people travelling together comes to about ₹1,61,490 for the pair including GST.

Family tour packages to Rajasthan

What ruins a family trip is rarely the destination. It is the drive between Jaipur (2N) and Pushkar & Ajmer (1N) at the wrong time of day with a nine-year-old in the back.

  • We move the long legs to the morning. On the Rajasthan route that usually means leaving Jaipur (2N) early and arriving before lunch, rather than after dark.
  • Children 5–11 are charged at 75% of the adult fare, under-fives at 35%. Stated here, not discovered at the end.
  • Rooms that actually fit. We book what the family needs and say plainly when a property cannot take an extra bed, instead of letting you find out at reception.
  • Meal preferences in writing — vegetarian, Jain and no-spice go to the hotel before arrival.

Two adults and two children aged 5 to 11 on the 5-night Essentials comes to roughly ₹80,850 all in, including 5% GST. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we adjust the route rather than the price.

Cheap Rajasthan packages — and what "cheap" actually buys

The lowest honest price we can build a Rajasthan trip for is ₹22,000 per person: the 5-night Essentials, Jaipur (2N) → Pushkar & Ajmer (1N) → Udaipur (2N), twin sharing. Here is what keeps it there.

  • Clean 3-star stays in Jaipur (2N) itself, rather than a smarter property half an hour out. Location saves more than a star rating does, especially where the evenings matter.
  • Shared or scheduled transfers on the legs where they make no real difference.
  • Dates either side of the peak. October to March is when everybody goes to Rajasthan, and it is when it costs most. Shifting by two or three weeks is usually a bigger saving than any negotiation.
  • Nothing removed quietly. Everything in the inclusions above is still included at this price.
What is honestly not in it: flights, lunches, personal expenses and travel insurance. A couple on the entry package pays about ₹46,200 together, all in.

If your budget is fixed, say the number when you enquire. It is far more useful than a wish list, and we will tell you plainly if Rajasthan does not work at it rather than quietly thinning the trip.

Best time to visit Rajasthan

October to March. The desert is pleasant. April to June regularly passes 45°C and sightseeing becomes genuinely unpleasant.

We plan it so it is — shorter driving days, hotels with room for an extra bed, and meal preferences confirmed in writing. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we adjust the route rather than the price.

Do you plan Rajasthan honeymoons?

Yes, and they are built differently: private transfers throughout, rooms chosen for two, and a slower route. Room decoration or a private dinner is arranged at no markup on what the property charges — tell us at booking rather than on arrival.

Are there hidden charges?

How do I book, and what do I pay now?
